MP backs biodiesel tax break campaign

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a campaign to keep tax breaks for companies who produce biodiesel.
Producers transforming cooking oil into biodiesel currently take advantage of a 20p differential but that is due to end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has actually been with the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.
Mr George said "a number of little services in Cornwall presently earn money from used cooking oil".
He included: "In order to be able to get this type of industry going it does require simply a bit of lift which can be found in the type of tax inevitable."
Biodiesel is a mix of conventional diesel, rapeseed and veggie oils.
